Reconstructive Plastic Surgery
Reconstructive Plastic Surgery aims to improve or normalize the function or appearance of the body. Reconstructive Plastic Surgeons treat all parts of the body for conditions such as trauma (eg hands and face), burns, tumors, infections and congenital or acquired deformities. Advance technology and microsurgery techniques have improved significantly the options for patients with significant deformities such as mastectomy or facial disfigurement. Plastic surgeons often work in conjuction with other surgical subspecialities (e.g. Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and ENT). In his public practice Mr. Murray undertakes all aspects of general plastic surgery as well as microvascular reconstruction.
